The following is from "Charlestown Genealogies" by Thomas Bellows Lyman (1879). Thomas Brigden was born in England about l633, died April 25/1683. He had care of the great guns of the battery (in Boston harbour) in 1654. He left an estate inventoried at œ137.0.O. He lived in Charlestown, Mass. where he died. He married Mildred Carthrick, born 1630, daughter of Michael and Sarah Carthrick, who came from London in 1635 on the ship "Elizabeth and Ann", with Mildred, then 5, who was admitted to the church on May 29/1660, and died July 1726, aged 96. Issue :- 1. Thomas Brigden, Baptized with others in 1660. He was a Mariner and married Anna -- and lived at St Paul's Parish, Shadwell, London, England. 2. Sarah Brigden. Born January 3/1655-6. 3. Zachariah Brigden. Born June 8/1658. He was a Mariner. 4. John Brigden. Baptized July 29/1661. He married Sarah Barrett on August 15/1684, died 1670. They had three children. 5. Michael Brigden. Baptized June 2/1664, died June 12/1709. He married Joanna Wilson. See subject 358 for issue and further particulars. 6. Nathaniel Brigden. Born October 30/1666. 7. Timothy Brigden. Born October 18/1670. 8. Elias Brigden. Born January 24/1672. He married in 1697, Mary, daughter of Thomas & Mary (Nash) Hale.
