The following is from Charlestown Genealogies, by Thomas Bellows Wyman (1879), on file at the New England Historical & Genea- logical Society in Boston. Thomas Brigden was from Faversham, Kent, England, and came to America in the ship "Hercules", embarking at Sandwich, with his wife Thomasine and two children. They were registered inhabitants of Charlestown in 1634, both admitted to the Church on October 5/1635. He died June 20/1668, and his widow died March 12/1669. In 1635, he owned a house and two acres of land, and also owned much property in Cambridge, Southfield, Linefield, Mystic and Rockfield, in all about 90 acres. His Will left to his wife, the house, wharf and all other estate during her widowhood. His estate was inventoried at œ244.0.0. Issue:- 1. Thomas Brigden. Born in England. He married Mildred Carthrick. See subject 716 for issue and further particulars. 2. Mary Brigden, Born in England. She married Henry Kimble. 3. Zachary Brigden. Baptized 1639. He graduated at Harvard College in 1657, admitted to the Church May 29/1660. He was invited to preach at Stonington, and died In preparation for that work on April 24/1662.
