The following is from "The Memorial of Samuel Hicks Seaman", by Mary Thomas Seaman (1927), on file at the the New England Historical and Genealogical Society of Boston. Christopher Hawkhurst was Vicar of St Chads, England, and died August 1576. He married in England on October 15/1550, Elizabeth - maiden name unknown. According to the History of Shrewsbury, England, by Owen, page 153, he was probably appointed vicar on the accession of Queen Elizabeth. He died in England of plague. Issue:- 1 .William Hawkhurst.
